About Us

About Locke Trucking

Locke Trucking, Inc. has always been a family owned and operated business. The Lockes started in the trucking industry in 1981 when they owned and operated semi-trucks. In 1989 they bought their first dump truck and began to sell off the semi trucks over the next few years. We are currently in our 2nd generation of family members to own the business.

We haul and sell stone, sand, gravel, fill dirt and topsoil. Bobcat and conveyor services are also available. Our goal is to serve our commercial and residential customers, including custom home builders, ex-cavation and concrete companies, and homeowners with existing driveways or do-it-yourself home pro-jects to the best of our ability.
Locke Trucking, Inc. has been serving Johnson County and the surrounding areas for more than 30 years. We take pride in the work we do and look forward to serving you and your needs

David Locke, Owner

Dave oversees the day-to-day operations of the dump trucks and is responsible for managing salt sales. Dave is a graduate of Center Grove High School.  He also attended C-9 Career Center for Diesel Mechanics.  He grew up in the family business but has been working for Locke Trucking full-time since 1999, driving one of the conveyor trucks.  In 2009, he founded Locke De-Icing Solutions, and in 2010, Dave took on a more active role with the trucking company, assuming responsibility for dispatching and supervising the truck drivers.  In 2015, he purchased the business from his parents. In his spare time, he enjoys drag racing his car and boating.

Amy Locke, Owner

Amy joined the family business, Locke Trucking, in 2003 and manages the day-to-day operations of the office. Amy graduated from Whiteland Community High School in 1998. She also pursued Horticulture studies at the C-9 Career Center.  After high school, she continued her education at Vincennes University. She married David in 2000, and together they’ve raised three boys. Their oldest proudly serves in the U.S. Air Force, while the younger two attend Franklin Community Schools and are active in wrestling and 4-H. In her free time, Amy enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Gaby and Lizzy, boating, and being outdoors.

She is a lifelong member of Rocklane Christian Church, where she has been a part of the choir/worship team since 5th grade. She also shares her heart with the youngest members of the congregation, teaching the 3-year-olds’ Sunday School class.
